Ein ECHTER Indianer

my first solo exhibition at Galerie Sandpeck in Vienna

The title referes to the german saying "a real indian (native american) doesn't know pain". This was typically said to boys in order to keep them from crying after getting hurt. The idea that boys and men are not allowed to show weakness is a deeply rooted societal issue. The saying popped into my head when trying to figure out what this first solo show was going to be about. Ultimately it was an outing, the first time I let a large group of people see what I, until then, keept mostly to myself.
