NACH RUBENS (After Rubens)
Rubens work is bright and emotional. Using markers I drew thumbnail versions of his paintings.
Each drawing was done on a piece of copier paper, with some marker lines outside of the frame, made when cleaning the markers after layering colours.
Interpreting Rubens colours with the pens I had at hand (and adding some white acrylic paint in one case), made for an interesting experience and I am contempt with the results.
I will continue working on this series. It is representative of our repetitive, neoncoloured
, buy-cheap/sell-expensive culture.
